steel thermos is heavy, but granpa's hot chunky soup (meal in a bottle) 4hr into cold trail makes that IPA really refreshing.

Thermos with soup, or chili. Can do smokies as well and bring fresh buns and fixings. But generally I still like to keep my pack as light as possible, so usually hot tea and a PB sandwich is as fancy as it gets.

Begs the question, who makes a "hot all day" thermos?

classic wide mouth Stanley is the one, feeds 2, spoon tucks in the handle, put it in boiling and it'll still be too hot to eat 4+ hrs later, in the cold, use it at work (construction) all the time. jobsite tough
ps, my homemade soups are nazi worthy but if you don't like the wait/weight NO SOUP FOR YOU
