It sounds silly, but these are really great poles.
I had a pit of the Firewall poles for about 10 years until someone decided they needed them more than me. I struggled to find a pole i liked for two years, and then I just finally broke down and bought a pair of the SL poles.

Been rocking a pair of neon green ones I found for $3 for the past 12 years. No need for anything else. Need to put on some new baskets, though.

Those are from Ski Essentials. You can order directly from them and they usually have at least 10% off. Wish they had the green in a 54".

Huge shoutout Jake... My OG Scott poles are a little long in the tooth and I can’t count how many I have re-bent them... I used your link and ordered my poles Sat and got them today... Thanks for the PSA as it was a smoking deal...!

Bump. After 25 yrs of use, I broke the tip off one of my “Wc team” series 4 (I must have skied over it?).
Are the poles available via amazon with powder baskets?

Great poles. Itll be a sad day when mine are gone. Had mine for 30yrs. Not much left to the green or orange and hard to believe the grips still hold a strap

Dumb question, but can someone post steps on how to replace the baskets? I have a 48" pair that i want to swap out the stock tiny frontside baskets for bigger powder baskets. I've peered intently at them, and they don't seem like they are threaded. So only way is to cut them off?

I cut them off with an exacto knife and pound new ones on with a tight fitting pipe/tube on the new basket. Its always been replacement baskets so ive never tried to save a new basket removal
