Norco Fluid
Looking at this for a new bike https://www.norco.com/bikes/2020/mou...um/fluid-fs-1/ . I’m not a dentist, and I am retired, so my days of spending 5g+ on a bike are gone. I want to get into a modern geo bike, medium travel as I am not a hucker, I don’t ride park anymore so most of my days are spent Riding what used to be called all mountain, and I guess now is referred to as Trail. Don’t care about carbon, doesn’t seem to me that it is any lighter than a good quality aluminum frame. Fluid FS1 seems to have a pretty good spec for the price, the 2020 version appears to have fixed the suspension issues that reviews were complaining about on the 2019, and while it isn’t lighter, it isn’t any heavier than my current second gen Santa Cruz Nomad. I am in Canada, so a lot of the direct options end up being way more by the time you ship them, and pay exchange. Not to mention it seems that most of the direct sales bike manufactures are exclusively carbon so the lower cost models have low specs to get that entry level price.
So what say you, good deal, good bike, or no?

We have them in a rental fleet, solid bikes, good specs, people seem to like them.
I would go for it if it fits you.

I was the Norco rep here for a while and if I still was I'd be riding that bike. Everybody is all hot for longer/slacker/blah blah but that bike just plain made me smile when I rode it.

If you are a large, I"ll be selling a rocky pipeline carbon soon for similar price to that norco you posted.
