I have some other drop handlebars bars, stems and saddles if you want other options for fit too. Lots of room on the fork to change the fit.

You can fit up to 29* 2.2 tires on it. Run full fenders, heck put on a dropper post and suspension fork and get rad. Room for 5 bottle cages (3 on frame, 2 on fork)

Bike is a 105 parts spec (2*11 speed/disc brake), and sold for $2100 US new. Then add the bags and the package is $3000 CND. Selling for $1500 CND, or $1100 US firm. Will drop the price if not sold by spring. Selling as drop bars and I dont get along well.

Bike is in banff, alberta. Can ship if needed, or maybe drop off in AB/BC.

Curious why you used the strap on mounts rather than the brazed on ones for panniers?
I just bought something similar but don't have bags yet so trying to figure out what to buy before bike packing trip.

Racks + bags is more weight that just bags. Plus racks have the potential to lose bolts when touring off road.

It looks like the seat post and frame bag uses velcro straps to affix to the frame. Where as panniers are often mounted via a rack system that is bolted directly into the frame.

racks come loose, bags weigh a lot, catch on stuff when trail gets narrow.

I find, if you can't take all your stuff in what I have shown, you need to re-pack and get rid of some stuff.

YMMV: some people load up on stuff and go really slow too. its all fine, its just a bike.

Just curious - since all my bike touring has been on road, with traditional racks + panniers -

If you are bikepacking on dirt roads, do the velcro straps chafe against the frame and scuff the paint? Frame saver tape, or just ignore the scuffs?

velcro seems fine, but not too worried about a steel frame if the straps are tight.

maybe a light carbon I might do frame saver first. and for sure on the headtube.

Thanks. I'm thinking of getting a big bikepacking-type saddle bag for a breakaway travel bike I have. It'd fit into the travel case easier than something like a seatpost clamp-on rack, and would be lighter too. Bike is steel, with aluminum seatpost, so no real worries about load/weight there.

Just daydreaming at this point, no trip plans currently.

Did you like the Roswheel bags? Was looking at them on Amazon. Prices are good.
