Ok, this is on its way to ill advised strategy to help with town downhill domination. Looking forward to the TR, with pic in suit on top step of the podium!

Now that we've seen the micro-hahnenkahm, I think a smart wax choice will be your ace in the hole. Slipperiest slider wins.
I noticed the pole click too, .

I feel like any time you're contemplating wrapping yourself in full body spandex you should probably contemplate whether you're taking the activity far too seriously.
Unless, of course, it's for S&M

If it's cold on race day, break out that "old" can of ScotchGard! it contains perfluorooctane sulfonate. FluoroCarbons at pennies on the dollar!

What skis have you got ?
I was using 223 fisher RC4's from the early 80's but they weren't really all that fast and they didnt turn worth a damn somebody told me cuz the bases were not sintered, so I just started using my Atomic Redster womens FIS GS ski which seemed fast enough and easier to turn
There are a bunch of old racers here, the ski club gets lots of people skiing, a race can bring a hundred racers with their families to the town so I disagree with people who say racing is not important IMO it a good thing for the hill even if you don't race
so lots of old guys in sausage suits, everyone starts the bench racing and smack talking the next day after the race and its a good fund raiser for the ski club

TGR should be sending a film crew (aka Warren Miller Style) to film this ski race event.... Could be a small segment in next year's TGR film...

The only good thing about those MRR's is that they color coordinate with that Spyder wrinkle-wrangler!
