    FS 183 Custom Praxis MVP

    *Sold*

I purchased these from SupreChicken in October, and have since decided I am not going to ski them so I wanted to see if anyone was interested. This was his description from the original post. I didn't mount them, so they still just have the one drilling from his Vipecs.

Asking the $300 I paid for them, Paypal FF or add fees. Local Wydaho hand off or can ship on buyers expense.

"Enduro core w/ carbon and maple veneer. Flex 3.5. Praxis tattoo graphic. Skied 10 days. Slight hints of rust on the edges, otherwise mint. Drilled once for vipecs at -1 from the dimple for a 306mm bsl. Long, subtle rocker lines, minimal camber, 1825g per ski.

Lay tracks on firm, float really well in pow, nimble in tight space. Not as forgiving in variable PNW out of bounds snow as I was hoping."

Day-um! This could be a Goldilocks touring rig for Continental snowpack. Knowing @suprechicken's preferences, I understand what he was looking for in a PN Wet touring ski.

Enduro/Carbon/Veneer is perfect for this application. I could almost get past those graphics ;-)

Whaddya mean, that topsheet is dope!

If I was able to tour much at all currently, these would be mine.
Common sense. So rare today in America it's almost like having a superpower.

"1825g per ski" according to SupreChicken, I can weigh them when I get home but it will be on a home scale so I can't guarantee accuracy.

Cool, if you could throw a measuring tape on them and see how true to the 183 CM they measure on a straight pull, I’d be very grateful.

If we can make some kind of deal happen, I could probably pick them up in the next few weeks… Will be between Bozeman and Idaho Falls

3720 g for the pair, 181 cm straight pull on the tape.

Sounds good, let me know if there is anything else you need.

Oof, at Flex 2.5 I’d have given you vig money to get this deal. But maybe super woulda kept em if they were softer, hah!

Hmmm, gonna be a few days to figure out if I can actually afford these. If anyone else wants to jump ahead go for it.

FWIW, my friend has a pair of drilled once, skied 5 times 189 Quixotes with 4 flex if anyone is interested. I was gonna buy those, but I need to keep my ego in check and get me something shorter. I like the minimal camber aspect of the MVP.

What would you compare the 3.5 flex to? Not too familiar with Praxis.

Going from 3 different flex #4 GPOs, and a pair of flex #3 EXPs, I'd say the EXPs flex like my Automatic 109s.

While the #4s are obviously stiffer, they're not hugely so.

I don't know how much this helps.
