Could the susceptibility vary between different ethnic populations? If this is the case for coronaviruses it might explain the vanishing of SARS and MERS--very few people had the receptor and because of the lethality of the viruses they ran out of victims before they could spread outside their places of origin. Given how much is already known about how coronaviruses work I would assume that that hypothesis would already be proven if it were true, so just a thought.
What flattening of the curves across the board?

Keep me posted on that, Bunion. I'm in a position to do but am weighing the actual/potential outcome, given the amount of pure bullshit the administration dishes out.

    Code:
Intermountain Healthcare is cutting pay for physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants during the #coronavirus outbreak, which an administrator said in a message sent to staff last week is financially necessary amid “the changing needs.”

Wow. "Hey I bet they won't go out on strike during a pandemic, let's cut their pay now!" wtf.

I hate to bring up the flu...again, but any guess on the percentage of deaths that would of happened anyhow? This virus seems to kill a lot of the same people that flu kills.

If you want to understand genetic variants of CV19 and how they relate to what we traditionally think of as strains (as well as immunity), read this:

The math is pretty simple once you have the CFRs for comparison.

Thing is, no matter how you swing it, it's a whole lot of dead people.

Ok, let’s recap. What did you say? Because from what I recall, it was the blatherings of an ignorant, obtuse moron.

Now that home delivery is nearly impossible to get a spot, we do need some grocery shopping and laundry to do.
I may also need to pick up few things from work as well.
But all that can wait til we get cleared.

Flattening on the log scale. Less steepening on a linear scale. LOL (US hasn't gotten there but many countries have. I'll take whatever improvement I can get. I just find it hard to believe so many dissimilar countries would have such similar profiles if the course of the disease was primarily influenced by local public health measures. To me it suggests a biologic cause. Chalk it up to wild, unfounded speculation. But I'm writing my Nobel speech just in case.

Thank you so much for the video.
According to Dr. Missy, I have dry coughs, but her exercises made me cough.
It also made me feel better doing her breathing exercise, so I'll follow the rest.

    Thank you.

So happy that helped, almost justifies all the time spent on this thread.
