Noticed a lot of contrails today (relative to how it's been since this all started). Wonder if my qanon friend down the road is freaking out.

We have opened the barbers and hair salons, in central CA.
Still no nail shops or bars, though.

What's the point of a visit to the coiffeur if I can't have perfect nails as well?

Lots of people got it wrong early on. It's not whether they were wrong, it's whether they recognized it and changed course. Most did. One in particular refuses to.
In our Safeway more people walk the wrong way than the right way. Partly because the way the one ways are laid out it's impossible to avoid walking down each aisle at least twice.

Nice marketing move. Reminds me of the hot looking NC gun range owner that banned Muslims from her range. I have always refused to do business with members of the Klan and ISIS.

Speaking of marketing..... "Visit Walla Walla" is up a running ads now that we are in Phase 2 encouraging people to come here. I know we need tourist dollars but maybe we should be more cautious. We've been luckier than a lot of counties partly because the shut down came before tourist season. We don't need to be the next Sun Valley.
Not to mention the state mandate is for people to stay within their counties if they are in a lower phase. Besides, phase 2 still only allows for "limited non-essential travel within proximity of your home." Yeah it's a catch 22.“When you see something that is not right, not just, not fair, you have a moral obligation to say something. To do something." Rep. John Lewis

so I was listening to the CBC today and they interviewed a treeplanting contracter so the usual scenario is a bunch of freaks go to camp driving 5 or 6 in a crew cab to live in a remote tent city , basicly run a marathon every day pounding trees, go to town/ lots of partying/ do laundry drink beer/ take drugs/ get in fights with redneck locals so they had to figure out HOW to run a camp in very close quarters observing COVID protocols
Just not going to town solves a lot of problems but buddy said they social distanced, all wore masks as much as possible like riding around in trucks, so after 26 days of planting they are pretty sure there is not covid in their camp but also every year there would usually be 2 people with colds or something at all times but this year NO colds
so its been a small petri dish and buddy seemed pretty convinced masks work now whether or not they will stop a Covid virus is another question ?Lee Lau - xxx-er is the laziest Asian canuck I know

This is where the US stands as of May 24, with and without NY.
https://graphics.reuters.com/HEALTH-...S/dgkvlgkrkpb/
So the ex-NY running daily total new cases is about 20,000. That flat line for the rest of the US contains this:
Not looking good for many states which are opening up. Would be good to review this in two/three weeks time.Last edited by Casey E; 05-28-2020 at 02:34 PM.
