I remember watching Judy woodruff’s final newshour anchoring show a few weeks ago. The turned the camera towards the support crew and they were wearing masks.

At the world economic forum meeting currently occurring, all people in attendance apparently had to have a negative pcr test (or molecular test?) immediately before entering the area. I’m unclear if this has to be repeated daily. Photos from within the meeting show portable hepa filters in all the smaller meetings rooms and bundled attendees, with speculation that they are bundled because windows are open to improve ventilation.
I can't think of much that would make me happier than Davos turning into a super spreader event.

Today Mrs Jong said someone at work casually mentioned that they had COVID last week. They were at work all week unmasked going in and out of everyone else's offices, break room etc.. NICE! They don't understand why everyone else is now pissed at them..

Is your wife and her coworkers wearing respirator-type masks at work?

Is anybody? They weren't alerted if the risk until after it was over... It was yesterday that they said "I had COVID last week" said person who was there working with them last week.

Some sure are still wearing masks.

Note how the elite (WEF) are taking large measures to protect themselves and telling the masses and their governments that there is no pandemic, to get back to work, and because they need to be made richer. Only now are some of their advisors, eg mckensey, publicly noting that productivity is down due to covid and adversely affecting corporate capitalism.

Got symptoms (sore throat, mega fatigue) potentially consistent with latest variants 48 h ago, still testing negative but the onset felt similar to the first day of getting omicron last Feb. Similar in terms of how my immune system feels. Hard to put into words but last year I knew it felt totally different than any virus I’ve had (despite 3 days of negative tests), this is similar.

H5N1--ie bird flu. Spreding from domestic fowl to migratory birds. Also infects pigs and some other animals. Infecting humans pretty rare, but over 50% mortality. Folks are worried that it will make the leap to easily infecting humans. Fortunately there is a vaccine. Unfortunately, the vaccine requires eggs to make.

Ya, I got a sore throat with cough that took about two weeks to mostly clear. My voice still gets a little hoarse, with occasional hack. Tested negative for COVID multiple times. And I'm on the opposite side of the continent.

I had that crud, was sick for a solid two weeks with another full week of leftover snot. First time in my entire life my ears got plugged up. Was not fun travelling from the plains up to the mountains and back, ears popping a hundred times a trip.

Dang. Hope y’all feel better soon.

I hate being sick. My work has no “sick days.” It’s been “PTO” or “flexible time off” for years, which incentives not taking sick leave.

Here’s a recent interview of Eric topol mostly discussing his recent paper in Nature about long covid https://25143.mc.tritondigital.com/O...3?t=1675413016

    Here’s his paper: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41579-022-00846-2

I see that the covid fear still has a stronghold on you. Will you ever recover?
