it's not about not being able to "take" what people throw, it's about not wanting to waste my time on people who seem hell bent on trolling or otherwise wasting everyone's time.
And on a site that is almost entirely devoted to wasting time, these few have to really really go the extra mile in time wasting and trolling."fuck off you asshat gaper shit for brains fucktard wanker." - Jesus Christ

Rodney King? Sheeeitt. I'm talking military vehicles, armed with some men who have been to recent occupations in the Middle East. Yes, they used National Guards over there. They're well funded and trained.
Edit: I mean, look at the hardware the local baffoons rolled out in Ferguson. Pffffft. Gotta be a well trained man to know how to use that stuff.

Oh, c'mon, I was serious. I always admired DINK lives as I was struggling along as a single. They're sitting pretty at a really bad time. Lucky.
I also think that we are going to have a grand reckoning out of this thing, that involves the central question, Was it worth it? That's going to take some time to get to.

PSA: Want to help? Have and use a thermometer regularly
PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
Covid-19 testing is not particularly accurate, even if you can get one.
https://www.tetongravity.com/forums/...49#post5927049
And it's most certainly not possible to get tested every few days, or even every week.
So, one of the best things you can do, especially if you're still working outside the home, and ESPECIALLY if you're taking care of older folks, is take your temperature regularly.
The seasonal flu is bad this year: 22,000 deaths so far. So it doesn't matter so much exactly why you have a fever: if your temperature is even slightly elevated, you should be very cautious about who you make contact with!
Remember, everyone has their own baseline temperature. Some people run cooler than 98.6, some run hotter, physical activity will raise it somewhat also, and it'll be slightly lower and higher through the day. Find your own baseline before you have to wonder "should I be worried about 99.5?"

At this point it probably couldn't be anyone of normal height. Maybe Danny DeVito's head?

It looks like the WSJ fully embraced clickbait as business model so I think this story is mostly BS WRT milllenials but it's kinda funny in a macabre sort of way: "A Generational War Is Brewing Over Coronavirus "
There was even a trending #BoomerRemover hashtag on Twitter.
Obviously, the millennials and boomers are both wrong because this is clearly a plot by Gen X to finally take over the world. /s

Sequencing Covid-19, and why are over half the deaths still in King County?
Remember when I said this? (Which I clearly marked **** SPECULATION FOLLOWS ****)

(The entire thread is worth a read. It links to the main data repository, for anyone who wants to see the imputed family tree from all the genetic testing that's been done so far.)
Yes, this means that the Wuhan coronavirus has been making its way around the Seattle area for at least two months now.
Meanwhile, we're still at 75 deaths nationwide:
https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019...ses-in-us.html
Of which over half (43) are still from King County, and 29 of those are from the same nursing home for post-operative elderly (Life Care Center):
https://www.kingcounty.gov/depts/hea.../16-covid.aspx
I'm growing confident enough to make a few predictions:
That Covid-19 is not the end of the world;
That our President and our government has addressed it more promptly and effectively than Europe, the UK, and most of the Western world, and that we will suffer less accordingly;
That Covid-19, in the USA, will end up killing fewer Americans than this season's flu.
===
Once again, be smart. We can fuck it all up by acting like everything's over. Be cautious with your social interactions. Have and use a thermometer regularly, to check yourself for developing fever. Communicate with family and friends who are stuck at home: we're all short some human contact.
