Apparently, you can claim it as workers comp in AZ.

We have Friday, Saturday, out Sunday. Hit me up. Same # as before.

Update. Wife recovered completely by Sunday night but was mostly okay all day. Good enough to study for a test she has coming up.

I had some night sweats Monday evening at about the 48 hour mark, soaked two different times, but otherwise had no symptoms beyond my sore arm and the usual slight increase in joint inflammation. The sweats might have just been me sleeping hard under heavy covers while completing exhausted.

They also started cracking down on our sick days and questioning if people really need to be out of the office, my boss was a big time d-bag to one girl basically asking her why she felt like she needed to stay home and telling her that since we've got a lot going on she needed to come back to the office on Wednesday after testing positive on Sunday night.

I feel like a lot of companies have recently been ramping up mandates for employees to come back to the office; it'll be interesting to see how that all shakes out if our covid numbers start really going back up this fall.

Wiife's a high level HR PHR corporate type..
From a legit HR perspective they know we all multitask when working from home. They don't really care if you're putting clothes in the washing machine as long as the required work gets done. The big thing reason they want everyone on site under coworker and manger view is because it's harder to look for another job on company time when you're working on site with other coworkers and managers. That's why they want everyone there instead of WFH.
Go that way really REALLY fast. If something gets in your way, TURN!

Anybody know details about AZ decision to allow for obtaining workers comp if covid was caught in the workplace?

I just got a text notification last night from our pharmacy noting that the new vaccine is in and appointment times are available. I've been planning to get the new shot once it was here and would have next week, but....

I had kind of a bad night sleeping last night, got up this morning with a headache and clogged sinuses so decided to test. Shit! Positive test. The ironic timing of the notification and my test frustrates me a bit. This is my second time testing positive with the last time being about 20 months ago. I actually feel kind of sick this time whereas last time, never really had a clue I was positive until the test. Que Sera Sera.

I tested positive on the day I got my booster last year.

My wife postponed her booster because of also testing positive. She waited 3 months, scheduled an appointment, and yep, tested positive again. I, on the other hand, did not get Covid that time.

Fear and Loathing, a Rat Flu Odyssey

Woke up today feeling off and had a scratchy throat. As the day progressed, I got achy and hot. Congestion built in my nose and throat and I started feeling lightheaded. Been drinking lots of liquids. Got home and took a Binax test: negative. Checked my feverÖ.right around 100į (I normally run around 98į). Been too tired to not be in bed since 5pm. Does this sound like Covid even with the negative test? How often should I retest? FWIW, Iíve somehow avoided getting Covid or if I did, was asymptomatic. Last booster was 10 months ago.

Could be covid. Could be influenza. Could be RSV etc. There are lots of things out there that will kick your ass like covid that are not covid.

Did her symptoms get worse and worse all week? Or just level off a bit but last all week?

Yeah you want to be in a healthy and well rested state to get maximum benefit out of any vaccination. Some studies show a significant drop in vaccine response in people getting 6 hours of sleep vs 8 hours of sleep the night before a vaccine. Do it when youíre at your best and your immune system is primed and can be focused. Thatís my padded room ďIím not an immunologistĒ answer.

Unfortunately they got worse for several days. Then it just stayed around in her. She went back to college still a bit sick.

We test about 10-15 symptomatic people or more a day for covid, about half are positive. FWIW. The real fun are the expensive viral respiratory panels that are expensive and have zero clinical benefit but satisfy patient curiosity. Have yet to see RSV, one flu in August.

I'd say test again 24 hours after the first. Not much point to keep testing after that. If positive the CDC says wait three months for another shot. If negative wait until you've recovered from your current illness.
