    This ones for you Montucky.

“ That summer, Johnson, a conservative who in the past has colorfully railed against “the continuing creep of the nanny state,” launched a new governmentwide obesity strategy, complete with a ban on junk food advertising on TV before 9 p.m., new mandates to label calories in restaurants and a requirement that healthier products be stocked near checkout lines. The prime minister began jogging daily and urged the public to adopt healthier habits.”

“ In Washington, there has been no such wake-up call about the link between diet-related diseases and the pandemic. There is no national strategy. There is no systemswide
approach, even as researchers increasingly recognize that obesity is a disease that is driven not by lack of willpower, but a modern society and food system that’s almost perfectly designed to encourage the overeating of empty calories, along with more stress, less sleep and less daily exercise, setting millions on a path to poor health outcomes that is extremely difficult to break from.”

“ There’s also a deep-seated belief in America that obesity and other diet-related diseases are the result of personal choices and anything the government does to meddle with our diets is an assault on American liberty. That narrative is increasingly being challenged by science. Research shows that once someone has obesity, there are almost no dietary or exercise interventions that are successful at reversing the disease over the long term and many people lack access to more aggressive treatments like drugs and bariatric surgery. Humans, it turns out, are largely hardwired to keep weight on once they gain it.”

Obvious critique is that pretty much everyone still in politics remembers the culture wars that erupted around the Obama admins efforts to instill and incentivize healthy eating habits and reduce obesity. It would be like throwing gasoline on the already raging “muh freedums “ dumpster fire.

Science has published a paper by University of Arizona evolutionary virologist Michael Worobey — a specialist in the origins of viral epidemics--that says the pandemic started at the Wuhan wet market. Not surprisingly other people disagree.

This is why this thing will last much longer after it's gone. It's scarred a generation.

Oh, they are. Talk to parents. This ain't going away. We'll be gone, but this is forming their world view significantly, especially watching old people act like assholes during all this.

    Pandemics change history.

Imagine, say, being a 17 year old handed a zoom screen for freshman year at college, and being told, take it or leave it. That's just one.

Nothing to worry that nazis were present with the normal freedumbs crowed.

    They screamed something like

    No cockdown
    No cockdown
    We want pfizer
    No cockdown

Austria and other European countries use periods as thousands separators instead of commas. (And commas instead of periods as decimal separators.)

Dont you worry, 35,000 looks so odd to me it is hard to type. There are more mathematical discrepancies your billion are our milliard.
    Our billion is your trillion.

    1.111,11€
    1,111.11$

I thought netherlands have legal marijuana, so all is chilled up there, guess not.

    Our lockdown is mellow.
So schools are open but voluntary participation.
Kindergarten same. Request to leave kids at home. But open to all in need of childcare.

Shops bars cinemas brothels clubs hairdressers restaurants all closed
Offices should work at home where possible.

So people have time to walk in the forrest and enjoy the late autumn weather!!! What is so bad.
The gov pays the loss to the industry like 80% & wages etc.... nobody needs to suffer

And for the increase of the states depth and loss of business we can blame the 20% my body is my temple, who knows what is in five years crowed!

Thank you 20% unvaxxed for doing this.

I am proud what narrow mindness can achive.

And yes live is a big mirracle and i dont understand it

The one that gets me, at least in France, is that when indicating a number with your fingers the thumb counts, so when I order one beer by holding up one finger I wind up with two. Which I guess isn't really a problem.
Also the way they count floors.
