Only problem with this is the States are handling the administration of the vaccine. Also being originally from Chicago where half the politicians literally end up in jail I would be more concerned of it mysteriously disappearing in that City than at the Federal level.

Not teachers first at all. 70% of deaths are age 70 & older. Get to the nursing homes then 70+ with comorbidity and then all 70 + year olds. If we can protect that group the hospitals will start emptying out and the crunch will be over. I suspect that the older the patient the more care they require, the sicker they are and their stays in the hospital are longer. Front line health care of course

The guy lives in the Reno area and is an avid skier and mountain biker so is not a total slob. He is also a PhD in Chem Engineering from MIT and was a chief scientist at Genentech for a while where he helped develop the process by which monoclonal antibodies are manufactured so he definitely knows his science.

No shit. I graduated college in 2011 and finally felt like I had a good career track lined up within the past year or two. My adult life has been punctuated by two major economic upheavals that have left me with an almost crippling sense of risk aversion when it comes to jobs, purchasing real property, assuming the responsibilities of debt, starting a family, etc.

The idea of gambling on purchasing a home, going back to grad school, starting a business instead of collecting my steady government check, starting a family, etc. are all viewed through the lens of the potential downside being greater than the up. Better to stick to the risk averse path.

Glademaster you need to procreate. You may be a curmudgeon but at least there’s some meat between your ears.

Thanks to the Rocky Mountain Biological Lab up in Gothic, little old Crested Butte and Gunnison actually has plenty of super cold freezer space, one of only 4 places on the western slope that can say that. I'm hoping that pushes us towards the front of the line for the vaccines.
