March 5, Italy, total death toll, 148. New deaths yesterday? 200. They realized they waited way too long to lock down the north, and immediately locked down the rest of the country. The idea is not that you won't get sick, it's that the spread is slowed enough that there is capacity to handle the critically ill in hospitals instead of turning them away like they are doing in northern Italy. If there is an extra bed available in a hospital because my family decided to hunker down and not get sick, thank us later. We probably are not going to the Wilco show in a few days either. The employee development program I run at work is cancelling all in person events and going all virtual. I'll take the kids to ride bikes, take em skiing, and take em to play soccer at the park, but I think we are done with school and other big groupings of people for now.

Also, looks like I jumped the gun when I refi'd last month instead of this month.

The thing I dread the most is the possible suspension of the NHL season. Fuck.

    sent from Utah.

They are also a nation full of older people who smoke and they also kiss each other multiple times in order to say hello. Given what we know about this virus that's not a good combo.

Not sure why he elected to remove the "true" cases statistic from the date rate denominator.

Lack of people with symptoms? I mean they are calling certain illnesses presumptive so if you test for flu and it’s negative but your burning up you get out in the presumptive number. That’s the way my wife’s hospitals is handling

They're playing the NCAA's (hoops) without fans, I'd have to think the NHL wouldn't do that but who knows.

That comparison to KONY2012 early on in this thread was pretty $$$, it definitely got me to start remembering all that high quality drama. I had to look up the video and watch again.

We're not in KONY2012 times now, but the comparison is still there.
