Ice and DJ know what's up. Death rate in US is trending lower than Italy, France, Spain, etc. If people don't die here, then we won't see travel restrictions as critical and will bounce back quickly even though our health care system will be taxed. I'm optimistic. I'm not saying this will be easy, but I don't see how those trend lines equate to even 100K deaths in any given country over a given flu season (13 weeks). Then again, this may not disappear like the flu does. Still lots to find out.

It's largely boomers that are saying no big deal. Their charmed lives won't allow such disruption.

The point is, that even with the tightest restrictions, essential supplies/services will remain available. You'll be able to get food, you'll be able to get your prescriptions, etc. From that article you quoted:

"In a televised address Wednesday evening, Conte tightened things even further, ordering virtually all retailers other than grocery stores, pharmacies and gas stations to close until March 25. Factories can operate and public transportation, banks and the postal service will continue, but restaurants, cafes and bars are shut."

No need to worry. The army will be there to pass out food and water if we need it.

Just saw a video on CNN where Fauci said that if you get infected you cannot go back to your normal life until you have two consecutive negative tests separated by 24hrs.

I think plenty of truth here. All of the clues and info about what to expect in the near future is out there.
