Too many variables. It really matters how soon and how well we stop spreading it. 2k deaths now. 5x per week for a few weeks. So 80k for Easter. 400k week after. 2.5M new memorials for Memorial Day?
Some 'hoax' folks I know are starting to change their tune, so maybe exponential growth slows after Easter. And there will be flattening in today's hard hit regions that should slow it sooner. Maybe the 5x/week ends next week due to WA/CA/etc lockdowns. Stop the 5x next week, and maybe we hold it to 70k at Memorial Day.
Forgot about overwhelming hospitals, could be much higher. OTOH maybe gin and tonic works as treatment, and it'll be lower.
These guys are considerably more optimistic They assume all states implement effective strong social distancing measures in the next week, and estimate 80k deaths by August (with some hospital overwhelmage).
I'm astounded that some otherwise intelligent people (I'm thinking of WSJ writers) do not see the extreme mortal hazard in exponential growth and limited hospital capacity. The business leaders need to get on the hype train if we're to convince holdout governors and presidents.10/01/2012 Site was upgraded to 300 baud.

Those charts are perverted. It's like playing the subway game between innings at Yankee Stadium in your head.

angels landing trail in Zion (trail closed since the picture taken)
if you can't figure out how to hike in Zion without being in a crowd you probably should not be let out of the city limits without a guide.
On the plus side, if stupid people disproportionately die (along with old people) it should be good for the country,
