Am I the only one making the effort to ski as much as possible outta concern the resorts may pull the plug?
Judging by the complete lack of crowds it sure seems that way.

I know, but you responded exactly as I knew you would, proving yourself to be the liar you are. Thank you.

fyi - Three quarters of the NYT's 4.7 million subscriptions are online. Damn, you really are a sack of shit.

    Recounted to me this morning:

Grocery store in CO Springs yesterday.
Dude in line berating cashier for lack of TP.
Dude behind him tells him to back off, not the cashier's fault.
    They come to blows.
Management kicks both of them out of separate doors.
Dude one (not sure which one) gets in his car and tries to run down dude two.
Pedestrian dude somehow gets car dude out of his car and punches him in the face but ends up getting his arm stomped on and broken.

I don’t have a link...I just saw this on CNN. It should be available on demand soon or on the podcast.

Nice these guys finally found their release. They probably felt stymied ever since the the Black Friday riots have subsided.

I think they’re some kind of silicone clip chip type strap for frozen bags of food.

    Not edible.

On a positive note though I got this email today. Looks like these guys are keeping a good look out for ya, not like those dirty fucks at Popeyes

Why do they keep them in the refrigerated section? Strange.

Because nothing makes you feel more romantic than being unable to breathe.

At this point quarantining should mainly for symptomatic patients. In any place with a significant case load you can assume that you have had contact with a CV patient. It's also worth testing a close household contact because if they're negative they can move out. (Tell the neighbors to call if the house starts smelling bad.)

Sacramento Unified SD is still open, including an elementary school where a substitute teach tested positive several weeks ago. Decision is based on the lower risk for kids and the fact that a significant number of students in that district rely on school for a good meal, many don't have computers to study from home, and a large number of parents are single parents or mandatory two income families. Kids' health doesn't do well when they're living on the street. What works in a wealthy suburban district doesn't always work in a city.

my speculation is 9 or 10 months from now a baby bump in the average birth rate from those home with nothing to do at home but you know, then a massive drop from all the people holding off on public weddings and going out to meet people even from online dating, those people still meet in public to see if they match.

    Chinese Rat Flu

I usually have a predictable day. So I am looking where and how I take risk.

No more Starbucks, pour my own at gas stations. Use cups and lids only handled by me. ATM pin pad, use a napkin. Those things are touched by hundreds everyday.

Same with gym. I don’t care if they wipe shit down every hour. In between a half a dozen people use that machine. Swimming only, push-up paddles and lunges at home. Need a pull up bar. Buying one tomorrow.

I hear the gyms may close anyway.
