Spread the hysteria, no one should work. How many people die in car crashes going to work? How many people die at work? How many cops get killed on the job? How many construction workers get killed or maimed at work?
By the current matrix, no one should ever leave their house again.

Compulsive yardwork and happy hour starting around 3:30 seems to be the name of the game for him lately.

My mom had a 100-101.7 fever for about 3-4 days earlier this week and generally felt like ass. She didn't get tested, but based on her symptoms, she may very well have had it. The aforementioned fever, bad sore throat, headaches, zero energy, and now she's coughing up tons of gnarly stuff. Her fever and sore throat are gone though, so it seems she's on the mend.

Both of my grandmothers are still alive, and needless to say, there's some worry about them.
Glad to hear things seem to be under control, are the grandparents living on their own still? Just curious.

My old CEO runs a Haitian relief foundation on the ground in Port au Prince. He’s a Kirkland resident and his company is in Kirkland. Maybe they are working together? Haven’t had contact with that group for many years though. I’ve seen them on the news together so maybe they are working together.

    Both INTENSE individuals.

Maybe during the coming violent chaos and civil discord, the authorities will be distracted, and we can form a posse to go down to Florida and just separate them from the rest of us somehow. A nice DMZ, about a hundred miles wide at the border, to start.

So we just got our two first cases in the county. Both were people that had traveled out of state in the last week. What interested me was the symptoms of the younger person (in their 30's, a specialist at the hospital). He didn't meet the criteria of any of the charts that are floating around. No cough, no fever just a soar throat... He was only tested because he works at the hospital.

Another thing that locals are being told by doctors that doesn't add up is if you recover from having a fever and cough in 5 days there is no chance it is covid, because the chart says its a 2 week recovery. How can it be so cut and dry? I can't believe that some people have it with no symptoms but if you get a symptom it automatically takes 2 weeks minimum. To think that each persons immune system doesn't react differently to a virus just doesn't make. I think this really just comes back to test shortages and they don't want you talking to them unless you are sick enough you may die... not that I blame them.
a positive attitude will not solve all of your problems, but it may annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Anyone with pre existing conditions needs to act like they are 80 yrs old. Don’t get sucked into the idea that only old people are at risk.

One doctor said most of his critical patients had Obesity, high blood pressure, or diabetes.

That people die because they have to go to work, or they will eventually starve. If the economy is destroyed, there won't be hospitals as we know them now. It is very likely that a lot of people will die, at some point in the future, because of the potential hysterical reaction. There is such a think as to much of a good thing.

Yes, they do. One lives alone in Florida, but was in the midst of selling her house to move to an independent living type place outside Portland near my aunt and uncle.

The other lived independently with her husband who died a few days before Christmas at 94 in his sleep (good timing, IMHO). She's been living alone, but went to visit one of her daughters in Florida several weeks ago and is now sort of stuck there.

Valid point. The occasional reading of ZH is quite a bit different from re-posting it. Propaganda can be enlightening even when you know it's bullshit, and zerohedge carries a lot of water for Putin. So it can sometimes be instructive, but seeing who actually believes it might just be moreso.

Repost because it must have gotten lost in all the pollyass discussion about cumgobling:

There's a new test approved by the FDA that will give results in under an hour. Should be out by end of the month. No details on how fast it can be manufacturered and/or distributed, but this could be a real game changer:

It's time we did a little calculation on this so we can put the nonsense to bed (and be more focused, too, if we were actually decision-makers beyond ourselves).

What is an acceptable risk per dollar? Not rhetorical. You may not play Russian roulette with a 1/6 chance of death for any amount of money, but what if it was 1 in 10 million for $10M? You could mitigate a Lot of risks with $10M.

There is an acceptable risk of death per dollar earned and our past decisions should indicate our collective risk tolerance to some extent. So find some stats and post em. People who speak math have a hard time dismissing this thing, but math isn't Latin, everyone speaks it a little. Go ahead and give it a shot.

Peleton created Covid19 as revenge for the backlash over their ad. Gyms are shut down. Work from home employees buy Peleton. Peleton wins.

Now you know why the woman in the ad looked terrified.
