Can I date a girl that snowshoes?

I mean, really. I've been talking to this girl about doing something this weekend, and she is very active and fun, but she likes snowshoeing in the winter. Snowshoeing is about the worst thing I can imagine doing, I mean, in the whole world of winter fun (skiing, touring, fatbiking, sledding, building snowmen, snowball fights, drinking whiskey in the hot tub, challenging the mayor's son to a gentleman's duel, etc...) snowshoeing just strikes me as pointless.

I had girded myself for the possibility of dating a snowboarder, but I'm not sure I'm ready for snowshoes...

When she lubes up her finger and gives you that “prostate massage” you’ve been craving all these years it’ll be all trekking poles and snowshoes from here on out for you core brah.

    Firstly, ^^^ that is awesome.

Secondly, better than dating a telemarketer.

    embrace it bro
go buy your bad self a pair of high end snow shoes some nice carbon poles
stopping to have sex while snowshoing will be much easier than wearing skis
i remember when I used to do snowshoe races, definately some hotties there, thankfully skimo became cool and I started doing that but the women were much more ripped and hardcore than snowshoe chicks
on the other hand you can be fucked like me and end up with some hardcore ski chick
next thing you know she's ditching you to go ski all the time
your kids will drain your wallet with ski gear ski lessons ski passes to multiple mtns clothing racing you'll be dragging them to the hill 3-4 days a week
letting them ditch school to ski, getting in trouble with the school because you let them do that
meanwhile the old lady doesn't make shit because she's a ski instructor and you have to pay for it all

so yeah stick with the girl who snowshoes it's cheaper and she's probably more sensetive than a hardcore ski bum type

Bullshit. Skibiking is way the fuck more awful than snowshoeing

FTR, I saw a Northern Goshawk while skiing a few days ago. I know several experienced PNW birders who have never seen a NOGO

I'd rather snowshoe than ride a fat bike. Yeah I said it.

I can catch a decent amount of air and go *relatively* fast on a fat-bike, so I’ll stick with that.
Even though I know you are just taking the piss.

A chick that digs the miseryslippers? She's low rent and probably into kinky bondage, if you're into that sort of thing.
Probably perfect fodder for the offers to Ullr thread.

Snowshoes do have some limited usefulness. Not sure the same can be said for the vast majority snowshoers, who seem to spend most of their time walking on packed trails were a simple "shoe" would suffice.

    Yall are extra crusty today.

My gf snowshoes. I don't. Luckily you can do both at lots of fatbiking or xc skiing places, so I'll bring my bike or skis and she'll snowshoe.

I'm pretty bad at maintaining relationships but even I know you need to compromise sometimes.

So is hiking out, too? Because snowshoeing is essentially just hiking in deep snow.
