The gucci air hoody is awesome. It’s super breathable so if you don’t have a wind layer over it, it will dump heat. It’s also warmer once shelled and packs small if that matters. One downside is the textured surface catches on things if you do much ‘shwacking and while mine has held up better than expected for the last few years (3?) it’s still probably less durable than some others

Same here. I have a couple of old Chamas and it’s one of my favorite shirts of all time but they quit making it. Has a zip though. Their Wick hoody doesn’t have a zip. I’ll probably get that when I wear the Chamas out but they’re going strong.

Pretty much this... super warm if worn with other windproof layers. Wind blows right through it if worn alone. Very comfortable if worn with say a nano air, but but a thick soft shell or hard shell and warmth rises dramatically. It's a lot like a R1. Mine has been super durable, but you wouldn't want to run through a mesquite forest with just it on.

I agree it is a constitutional right for Americans to be assholes...its just too bad that so many take the opportunity...

When does the mons royale usually go on sale, do they have a spring blowout of winter gear like most brands?

It's usually later than most brands. Like late April/early May, before they launch the new Winter Line that debuts in New Zealand/Australia in late May earlyJune.

I’ve been lusting after this one for a few years. Hoping to find at a bit of a discount but no much yet.

Never heard of them - good prices, and looks like nice stuff. https://www.duckworthco.com/

The hood of the hoody looks a little non-functional (no face-covering) for my taste, but their other products are sweet!

How do you dump heat and at the same time peacock your chest hair plumage in the lodge without a quarter zip?

I've got a couple different types of these hoodies. The Gucchi cap air is awesome, but I sweat like a pig in it when it gets warmer and I'm in the sun.

I recently bought a river runner from Voormi and it's the fucking bomb. I wore it all fall riding my bike, and have been using it multiple times a week this winter as a baselayer for touring, XC skiing, as a sun hoodie for working outside around the house when it's sunnny/30-50 degrees out, and just casually when it's cold inside and I want to wear a hood. It hardly ever stinks and so far has proven to be more durable than expected.

Price tag is bit higher than some others here, but I can't help myself and love supporting local business that make good, high quality shit.
