FS: 187 Praxis GPOs (Veneer with Original Octopus Graphic)

These are 187cm, Enduro /Veneer / Flex #4. $325 clear to me (flat) and $425 clear to me with the Salomon Wardens.

$$$ sold $$$ to @Red7. Thanks for looking, everyone!

You know these skis and you either want them or you don't. I have a pair of 182s mounted for touring (love 'em) and thought the 187s would be a better inbounds ski for me. I turn more than most TGR folks and frequently find myself in tight spaces, so off to their new home they go ...

    • 1.5 mounts at the toe. They originally had STH2s which share the rear two toe holes.
    • 2 mounts at the heel.
    • All 6 unused holes are plugged with chopped fiberglass and G-Flex epoxy
    • I gave them a new top coat with @Iggyskier's recommended System Three Clearcoat Epoxy

The current mount is for BSL=304 at -1cm. There's enough adjustment at the heel to go to 323 (which would yield a -2cm mount).

The base patch shown in the photo without the dime is the only large-ish repair. I did my best to make the repair look worse than it is. The edge of the patch is a bit smoother than the diecut part of the base (rant: why do people love diecut bases?)

The very worst edge damage on either ski is shown on the other ski with the dime. You can see how minimal it is.

    ... Thom (scroll for photos)

Why do I always end up selling my prettiest skis?

The very worst edge ding on either ski ...

    Phenomenal. Must. Resist.

Resistance is futile (ask me how I know). The 187s are a tad too long for my tastes, and a pair of 182s swam by yesterday that I couldn't resist. My 182s mounted for touring are lonely ;-)

I had a custom glass/carbon 187 pair that I passed along to a friend. My stock 182 pair I love, but they are mounted with vipecs and I'm inbounds a lot more than I am out these days.

Ideally I'd have an ultralight 182 touring GPO and these for inbounds....

That's parallel to my story. My 182s (Enduro/Carbon/Nylon/#4) started with Wardens, got Vipecs, and now have BD Helio 200s (ATK Haute Routes).

The only thing I'd consider replacing them with would be ULs (of course, veneer would be cool).

Beauty ski! My 187s are in deep storage... I hear you.

Pretty stoked on my 2-ski, 182 GPO quiver: OG octopus stock build with f12s and UL carbon veneer with dynafits...

So ... ya want me to beat them with a chain? Of course, if it were an electric guitar, it would be a "relic" and I'd have to charge more

Bumping ... because I can. I think the price is fair, but price police me if you think I'm off.

Fair price or not, I dropped it. These skis are feeling unloved and there's lots of powder to be slain this season.
