    Minituarizing Bacon Technology

Would make bacon technology more useful and delicious.

Don’t even talk to me about bacon bits.

Sounds great in theory, but you need a significantly thick slab (z axis) to make good bacon. No getting around physics.

No, what we need to do is shrink the pigs themselves so that you can full strips of bacon, but bite-sized.

Bacon bits lack the texture profile that the full strip can offer, whether you like them floppy or rock hard.

Why does everybody wants to make things smaller? Am I the only one that dreams of bigger bacon?

They make it smaller and charge the same price.

It is a conspiracy I tell you!

I've taken little store bought packages of cooked bacon bits on kayak trips where you couldn't take raw bacon, lots of preservatives

Normaly I do a few packs of bacon or enough for a couple weeks of bacon n eggers on a cookie sheet in the oven at 400, put it on paper towel to absorb grease, freeze it in a plastic food keeper, when I want bacon in the morning or whenever I take it out to either thaw or cook in the toaster oven

no spatter, less clean up & way faster

Strips of bacon IS bite sized. Maybe I just gotta big mouth? This whole mini bacon thing is heresy. I want mega bacon; strips that I can wear as apparel when appropriate.

Hmm perhaps we are thinking the wrong direction then?

Perhaps we should scale up the size of our pigs, so you could have a prime-rib sized slab of bacon with your morning toast & eggs. Make it large-enough to where you'll need a steak knife to cut them up. Thick cut? pfffff this gonna be godzilla-cut.

The only place where it is ok to make it smaller is the bacon bikini.

Thought this thread would feature more minotaurs. Too much time in Bullfighting, perhaps.
