Yeah, Bond Brook never disappoints. They’ve done some work on the quarry section; there are a few lines that are actually a little trickier than the last time I rode there. Northern Exposure is such a blast.

Thanks for asking man. I’m physically fine. Only time will tell with the rest of it. It’s been a nightmare and a half and right now, it’s a waiting game. Riding has helped a lot. I need to get more time in.

Caught a short ride at fort rock yesterday after briefly visiting my parents. Just snuck it in between sheets of rain. Hadn't ridden in a downpour since Vancouver years ago, it was such a goofy blast!

Trailforks is pretty accurate for the Newfields side. I just wish they would designate the doubletracks as doubletracks instead of trails. That side is full of doubles.

Wow dry! Now that my back is better we've been out a few times this week, 5 weeks of feeling shitty sucked. After the great Covid19 bike boom and all the foot traffic too the trails are totally blown out, soft, packed down and widened. I think we need to head back into the secondary zones that people don't use as much.

Love Fusters so much I should have ridden it twice. This corner almost got me and had to start over due to cutting it slightly tight.

A group of 20+ Junior Death Race campers [11-17 yo] that have been training the last 14 days carried this pile of rocks from the river Wednesday and were going to build a cairn after some leg lift torture.

The trails are riding great as usual, not blown out and the ferns have filled in along Noodles making it a single track ribbon that doesn't feel completely excavator built. Leaving a lot of the leaves has helped on other trails to maintain the tread and keep the dirt from disappearing .
The Rueben from the General was a tasty finish.

Great tour of Millstone yesterday thanks to Hankscorpio. No pics as I left my phone in the car and we didn’t stop much. Great to revisit a place that doesn’t see a ton of traffic and has some old school tech.

Awesome ride yesterday. Always love giving Millstone tours - I don’t get why it doesn’t get more rider traffic.

Let me know about any upcoming Cochran’s rides, always looking for an excuse to ride there.

Took a chance to explore the trails in East Hampstead,NH yesterday as I had the time. The network is interesting; lots of double track with classic NE cross country. The marquee trail is “Skunk Skull”, a 7.5 one way mix of everything. It was actually a blast, not much elevation but some short punchy climbs. It’s Keeps you on your toes with some mild tech interspersed with a little flow. It does have a fair number of rollers which was a new experience.

Looks like dust to damp here, muggies arrived as well. Back to the gravel after riding the mtb last week.

Wandered over to climb some hills Saturday. Disappointed to see Purgatory and Fat Noonies blocked off and removed this year leaving Hell Hill or "swell" hill as the only options to climb up. Knees don't always need Hell and "swell" is like an industrial waste sight with debris from building all over the place, exact opposite of the GMT trails that don't even feel like excavator built now. #dumbitdownklown

Attempted the Pusherman climb and made it 3/4 of the way before fucking this grunt up. Need to go left of the lower rock to make the odd right through the choke. Oh well

Ridged rode to Hill for some more climbing, a couple of trees down killed the effort here and an overall lack of trail trimming everywhere.

Lost the front in the loose duff on the hairpin just ahead and folded the front, rain should have washed it away now.

Anyone interested in a bikepacking trip this weekend? My plans are changing so I’m thinking a S24O but could be convinced otherwise.

I was thinking the same. Respect!
I like swell hill, so there. I hated hell hill
The downhill from the top of pusher man to race and techie and maple run is super fun, one of my favorite runs.
Last time there I tore the sidewall on an almost new tire. Went to Stark mt bike and they totally took care of me. Really kind mechanic.

Rode Earl's trails with my son yesterday. Lots of green leaves down from some wind event. Big trees too.
Great trails and worth the stop.
