You must've been in the Sam group at KT?

So much exploring to do out there. Hopefully can fit another weekend in before it gets too cold. Lots of stuff to explore more in Wendell State forest and woods north of Rt2 below the border. We had a bigger loop planned but cut it short because of how slow going some of it was. Blown away by the amount of terrain out there. Click image for larger version.

With no mtb I did a bikepacking loop around Quabbin reservoir in western ma. Hands down best gravel riding I’ve done, and definitely one of the top rides of my life. Incredible terrain and scenery, no people, perfect weather. Felt super remote, and after we got a few miles from Amherst we didn’t see people again until we’d pop into a town.

At least he didn’t bring his moto. Damn I want a moto again.

The biggest problem with that situation is lack of trail management from the town. And they got pissed when somebody fixed it.

I’ve always been envious of snowmobilers because they’re organized and get shit done. MTBrs are finally catching up.

That thread is something else. Over 2k comments...crazy.

Made my way up to Camden for the first time. Really cool mix of trails; the Rollins Road section is a lot of old school rocks, roots, and flat tech. The snow bowl side is more modern (with the DH trail Dreadnaught being as good as a lot of stuff you’d find at Burke or Highland)

If you’re in the area (or even an hour away) it’s well worth the drive.

Truth. Also worth a trip to Orland. The top to bottom DH/flow trail up there is fantastic.

Are those the Kiski trails? I have been meaning to head over there when I make my annual trip to Orono. Maybe next week with a stop at Orono Brewing and Masons.

Funny, four of us just joined the local snowmobile club. Not one of us has one! Two guys brought us in and apparently we're going to spin off of them and it will be a mtn bikers/builders association. We're going to be able to fund raise, groom fatty trails (for free!) and build trails with donations. At the moment, I'm totally removed and kind of hope to stay removed and just build, but who knows where this will lead.

Nope - those are in Dedham. Search Great Pond Mountains Wildlands on trailforks.

Good stuff dude. Hopefully I get my world straightened out soon and can come take advantage of groomed fatty trails this winter.
