Neil Peart dead at 67

So sad. Was my fav drummer from my fav band.

First show was back in 1078 New Haven CT, for the Hemispheres tour. I was 10. Saw them more than 25 times over the years.

He had a rough go with the loss of his wife and daughter.

Saw them a few times, but the one that stands out was for a hot minute in 89-90 my dad was the GM of the Salt place in SLC. So he got tix to everything that came there. I saw the Presto tour 2nd row in front of Alex not long after Graduating High School
Pert was amazing, they closed with Wipeout and I think my jaw may have hit the floor at his drum work. It was concussive that close

As a drummer growing up he was one of my biggest inspirations. The soundtrack to the hill the next few days will be Rush heavy!

Also, you all are old. Lol. But not making it to a Rush show is on the regret list for me to say the least.

What a huge loss. Seen every show since Power Windows. Musically is obvious, but for all reports a major loss of an amazing human. My daughter was to young to bring to their last show in Boston and will never get to experience them live (she loves the music at 11!!) RIP

RIP Neil, you were a master at the drums and percussion, and your song writing credits speak for themselves. A Rush fan going back to the beginning, their vast catalog meant that there was always something on my playlist. Thank you for your enormous contribution to music in general not to mention your influence on my life. You will be missed but not forgotten.

Peart is definitely in my Top 6 coolest drummers I have seen live along with Phil Collins, Chester Thompson, Bill Bruford, Jerry Marotta, and Stewart Copeland...
