You know now that I think about it, I spent a night in Healy, AK drinking with some dude from south of the Mason Dixon line back in the nineties. We all got pretty shitty and eventually he forgot my name and just kept saying “I like you, Yankee!” In a way that made it sound like he was surprised I wasn’t a total asshole. Now that I think of it I’d say maybe this guy considered “Yankee” an insult or something. Is “Yankee” derogatory? This could be problematic.

second that.
I do watch the AL, especially since the local 9, the cheating astros; switched leagues to bribe the current owner with a discount(despite nearly 50 years of being in the NL, but i'm not bitter; sarcasm)
the DH is inferior to no DH imo. not that a double switch is astrophysics but pitchers should have to hit and hitters should have to field a position.TGR forums cannot handle SkiCougar !

Cleveland Burnt Umbers.
This season is toast. I really think it's gonna get unplugged.
You know, in a perfect world, pitchers would be able to hit kinda like Bum does. Nothing too notable, but occasionally lights one up. But once these kids get pegged for a pitcher, that is all they do really is work on pitching. I would be ok if they did away with the DH altogether and forced more pitchers to spend some time in the cage with the ones that can hit getting more lucrative deals. But as it stands now, I am ok with pitchers hitting. But strategy comes into play so little anymore that it is just a quick bathroom break opportunity. They don't even bunt good for the most part. Whatever really, it's like the least of my baseball worries.

"Yankee" has a lot of definitions depending on where you are.

In baseball for example it’s always a pejorative.
I still call it The Jake.

Indeed. You ever notice, in any picture of a crowd scene where something bad happened, like a car bomb on a street in Karachi or a riot in Quito or whatever, in the pic there's always a guy with a Yankees hat? Always. I think they're behind most of the bad stuff in the world.

Whoa, whoa, I'll take that bait. Took a highly trained bunch of Navy Seals to take down Bin Laden, but one Yankee fan to get Khadafy. Bam.

I’ll tell you a real hero, Frankie Lindor. As Timber mentioned yesterday he got Tito pretty good with the sticky hand stuff.
Tito was on the radio this morning saying he still can’t get that shit off and he’s tried everything down to lighter fluid. That’s just good prankin right there.I still call it The Jake.
