Anxious as F about the next couple of games.

Figured out the Astros Series kinda fucked me up, even before I knew about the cheating. Dodgers were the better team, but just couldnt put games away. Lose 7-6 in 11 innings, then Darvish gets LIT up early, lose 5-3. Then lose 13-12 in extras, Kershaws amazing swing and miss slider, never swung on. This game goes till 2am in my memory..
Then Darvish cant even get out of the 2nd in game 7, and we cant get runs across after that. Astros WS champs
Plus my then 3 year old son was into it and wanted to stay up and didnt understand how we could lose...

2018, we got beat. I had seen that Red Sox team enough that year ( I work a lot in Boston, and saw a dozen games @ Fenway that year) I knew they were wicked sick on both sides.
Walking out of Fenway after Game 1 I told basom, we might win one game...
sometimes the other team is just better, I can deal.

This series is hard as these scrappy fucks just hang in, and did yo see the game Sat?!? the ending? W T everliving FK?

I can still remember those hot smelly summer wind shifts into my open window, late at night...so late the traffic sounds had trailed off to near silence, with the train horns in the distance. Random dog woofs, random sirens.

Neighborhood girls wandering over from the party house 2 doors down.

That lake smell mixing with my house of hockey gear and fire gear smells, those sleepless city midnights, riding my motorcycle through the empty northwest industrial roads in that hot lake air at 4am...
dang, I wish I would have known how far I had to fall...I would have held onto that life so much harder. I’d have held on until my hands ripped off.

The other night I was watching with my daughter and we were talking. I heard Phish and told her, "That's a band called Phish, Mommy's favorite band in college."
Spoiler, my wife went to SMU. Pretty sure she never once listened to Phish. To say they are her LEAST favorite is understating her Phish hatred.

Later on I thought about it. Why the hell was I hearing Phish during the WS? Huh.
