In about six months, you're going to hear about a few players that got this thing, wasn't really bad, but, damn, just can't seem to shake this dry cough and lethargy every now and then. Which would be sort of tolerable for the average schmuck chips and beer couch surfing fatso, but not an athlete who needs to operate at 110. That's the best case scenario. Worst case is one dying, or a family member really sick or dying.

And, of course they're competitive. That's their nature. They're high end jocks.

If they weren't playing baseball they'd probably be in strip clubs in Miami.

But did the Marlins ever consider not playing?
“That was never the mentality,” Rojas said. “We knew that this would happen at some point. We came to the ballpark and we were ready to play. That was never our thought that we weren’t going to play.”

    It that ever fucking happened...

And I'm pretty sure the Steinbrenners got an earful.
Jezuz, I fell for his grift. After all this time, I trusted that he was actually asked. The Steinbrenners are well known political assholes, though. The old man died a felon for giving illegal money to Nixon.

Sox might as well be a AAA team. This “season” is going to be brutal.

Yeah, this season is done. Just hope the A’s finish with a strong 6-2 record to take the west.

the texas rangers powder blue uniforms are pathetic. i bet no one on the team wants to put one on before the game.

the sales on those for anything but new baby boy clothing should be awful.

Don't worry too much about it. After our #3 starter tore his shoulder muscle and ended up on the DL for 4+ weeks in the first inning of his first start while wearing the powder blues, we'll probably never put them on again. Hell, we oughta burn them all at midnight to the haunting chants of arcane incantations and maybe we can get this curse off.

I really feel bad for Cy Kluber. Too good of a guy and pitcher to go out like this.

    Why not both?

Seriously, I'd love to see mlb just say 'If anyone on your team gets Covid, you forfeit until you've tested clean and put the offender on the DL in a box. And that counts for paychecks too. Set a damn example.'

Tribe sweeps the ChiSox in a traditional doubleheader.

All 5 Tribe starters to go so far have gone 6IP+ and given up less than 2 runs each, with all but Clevinger striking out at least 9 (6 for Clev, 14 for Beiber).

SP is the path forward again for this team and I like the start. 4-1 with a bs extra inning L mixed in, but hey, they all play by the same rules now.

    shoot I missed that game.

good to know that even without fans other teams will still take to those they think cheated.

it is quite possible the astros don't make the postseason, even though they have stopped cheating, well most likely they have. verlander and grenke both looking like they are over the hill now.

...and you wouldn't get fun things like this if pitchers had to hit.

    Right? The more you know.

    Fucking Brad Hand, I swear.

Zac Pleasac goes 8IP of shutout ball, Ks 11 had three straight 10P innings.

Then fucking Brad comes in and gives up 4 in the 9th to lose a fantastic outing.

    Fucking Brad.
