I find it impossible to take any sports as serious as I have in the past. Will history regard them as champion? Probably, and I have no issue with it. But in my mind, it’s all meh. Too much other more important stuff going on, but it’s a nice distraction.

Tanner Houck made his ML debut tonight and pledged to donate $100/K to his charity revolving around adopted kids. Have to see if maybe he was adopted. Anyhow, struck out 7 and helped shut out the fish tonight. One of he bright spots in otherwise dismal Sox season.

What a totally neat time for a top 5 team in baseball a week ago to lean into a 6 game skid.

Pour another or sleep it off Tribe, either way, get it the fuck together.

I’m still ok with it. I’ve posted the same article here so many times about the genius of this front office and how they work within the constraints they have. They groom Cy Young caliber pitching like it’s their job, they’re stacked at SP, and Clev, love him as I do, is a bit older and coming off back to back surgeries.

The Chicago incident had nothing to do with it. This is a Cliff Lee type deal that we won’t know the haul until 3-4 years from now. They’ve paid big in the past, we shall see here.

Sooo true. It is actually kind of incredible how they pump out talent. But that is the thing, they pump it out and judging by the looks of the farm system, idk that they are getting the return they need in terms of long-term, championship development.

Yes and no. Francisco Lindor is home grown, so is José Ramirez, look around the league and you’ll see the futures they traded to go all in for 16, 17 and 18 in like Clint Frazier to get guys like Andrew Miller, Encarnacion and Donaldson.

The plan is to load it back up with huge hauls like this one for Clev. Same as they did for Lee, CC, and the ageless wonder, Big Sexy, Bartolo Colon that netted them Brandon Phillips, Grady Sizemore, Cliff Lee and a couple other dudes.

the yanks seem to have righted the ship a bit since that 5-16 slide. stanton came back and they need his offense. i don’t quite understand leaving andujar on the bench, he was just coming back around from his injury. some team should give him a shot in left. he sucks in the infield but it’s hard to see him not. picking up the OF, lots of players have done it in the past and he can really hit. cost controlled. the yankees are just wasting it and i guess he’s blocked by frazier now, which is fine too.

i’m a little nervous about this playoff format, it’s just not baseball. best of three then a best of five? that could really suck for a team like the rays or dodgers who have put excellent seasons together with tons of depth. i’m not sure what they could have done this year but it’s hard not to think that this is just more evidence that they’re going to continue to ruin baseball into the future.

I am this fucking close to giving up.

How the fuck do you go from universally regarded as a top 5 team two fucking weeks ago to this garbage? Back to back 9th inning losses to keep the streak alive. Rad as fuck.

This year is just new shit, different day, every fucking day.

Thank God the Browns are on national TV tomorrow. Wait, hang on...

Bottom of the 10th, Tribe down 3-2.

2 men on, 2 out, 2 strikes. MVP candidate José Ramirez at the plate and he does what José does... Home Run Pitch, Bro!

As much as I hate the DH, I love how the DOgers use it. It was often a position in the AL ( old fat guy that cant field) its a option for the Dodgers, its a different guy every night!

Man I hope the White Sox wreck the Yankees first round.

Hoping for A’s Dodger series. White Sox just might be fun too. This is the time Dodgers need to show they are special and do the whole thing. Don’t want to start thinking they belong on that special list of teams. You know the one I am talking about.

The Indians completed a 4 game sweep of the White Sox last night by sending three straight pinch hitters to the plate in a row to mount a 4 run 7th to come from behind and win.

The last time the Tribe sent back to back to back PHs to the plate that all got on safely?
