Ranking Ski Resorts by Trash Talking

Nothing based on reality. Not terrain, snow, lifts, lodging, access, or apres. Just pure smack.

    For example,
    1. Squaw Valley/USA/Planet Earth/Sol System/Milky Way Galaxy/Multiverse 000001
    "SQUALLYWOOD"
    2. Jackson Hole
"OUR MOUNTAIN IS LIKE NOTHING YOU HAVE SKIED BEFORE!"
    3. Snowbird
    "THE GREATEST SNOW ON EARTH"
    4. Mad River Glen
    "SKI IT IF YOU CAN"

Not a resort, but this is kinda catchy:

Move upside and let the man go through...

Whistler is pretty proud of their terrain and skiers... but they're just too polite / Canadian. Same with Revelstoke.

During my one and only visit to Whistler, I was bitching about the horrendous top to bottom ice and 45-minute lift lines. A local claimed that living there was different, midweek experience was better, etc, and that it was great because you could do any sport you wanted there.

    "How's the surfing?"

    People surf on Lake Tahoe.

Nobody comes to Tahoe or lives there for the surf though. It's a novelty.

    Our mountain sucks go elsewhere.
I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

Kind of the same as it's always been, but not really either. Have you read the book about the history of the place, "A Tale of Two Skis"? I think the Starbottle saloon has a copy you could page through or read. Bert Vanderwall was a pretty cool cat. Got to meet the guy years ago. Talk about a guy who with his buddies got shit done up there.

I'll add Damüls, Austria. Mediocre resorts that says:
"one of the best ski resorts in the world".
    Yeah well. No.
