The Witcher
...anyone? Cheesy fun with ultra-violence and some nice nudity. I'm kinda digging it 5 episodes in.

I watched Season 1. Yennefer is hot and has great tits. It was worth the cheesiness to see her tits a few times.

Second episode so far. I don't really understand people's motivation in this series. Classic fantasy. Armies invading without any larger plan. Monsters all about. Makes it feel like a computer game. Fun though.

Watched first season. Found it entertaining. Timelines get a bit confusing.

Couldnt get through the first episode. It seems all fantasy stereotypes, no real story

I didn't like it much for the same reason I didn't like the game much - couldn't get into the emo main character.

Yeah. Kingdoms, armies and people in general acting without proper motivation and solely on superstition seems kind of cheesy. And the random introduction of fantasy stereotypes and places out of the blue doesn't help. But hey it's a fantasy series about a guy who slays monsters for money, so you get what you expect, I guess. I sometimes get the feeling that some of that is on purpose (just as the constant state of near confusion and the lingering threat of every scene evolving into soft porn.)

Haha. I hear ya but, I don't hear too many of us saying it's "good" per se, but rather the general consensus seems to be that it's entertaining. Will it win any Oscars? Nope. But I have been having a great time with it regardless of its shortcomings. Since I haven't exactly had to pay for any movie tickets for it, I'm a satisfied customer. Looking forward to more! I might want to read the old books, though.

I mean episode 6? Right out of the d&d playbook.
"you meet an old and wise man with 7 golden canaries flying around him".
I knew the surprise before it happened in the episode. I'm. Such a nerd. It is super cheesy, but if you've ever played any role playing it's loads of fun. Is it really like the game? because the game is past my time as a gamer I'm more a Baldurs gate age computer role player. It feels like a movie version of a rpg.

Nailed it! That's it! I played D&D as a kid, so no wonder the show is like some sort of comfort food. What cheesy Lifetime movies are for chicks, the Witcher is for me. Haha.
While I am thoroughly enjoying this show, I can't blame the dissenters for not liking it. Personally, I am NOT bothering making my wife watch it since I know she'd hate it.
