I adore Kusturica's movies. As for Bond, I like Casino Royale.

I agree with the first post.
George Lazenby. Understated bond
The only bond to get married. Then she dies. Ohh the irony. . .

Movies
Die Another Day
What is your quarantine wish list?
I have a long-awaited array of movies to finish
- The Shawshank Redemption
- Good Will Hunting
- Forrest Gump
- Pulp Fiction
- American Beauty
- The Usual Suspects
- Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
- The Green Mile
- Requiem for a Dream
- Fight Club
- Memento
- AI- Artificial Intelligence
- Schindler's List
- Confessions
- Inglourious Basterds
- Django Unchained
- Gattaca
- Blue Valentine
- The Pianist
These are some of them. It's a never-ending one though.
A.I. Artificial Intelligence is a gleaming and emotionally wrecking masterwork that is simply overlooked. For years I've heard about this film. When I sat down to watch it little did I know that I would be blown away! The characters have the depth to them, and it really is amazing how well Spielberg made the character of David. Mainly because he is an IoT service/AI based who is unfortunately blighted with sentience. His "Mother" makes a poor choice that yes at the moment gave her a child, but in the end, David will always be looking for his mother. He will constantly be looking for his mother's love. The ending is truly heartbreaking but overall is pretty amazing how well done it was. Haley Joel Osment is brilliant in this movie. His play in this film especially during the climax tears me to shreds. The emotional beats are there clearly, but I've always appreciated the world-building in this film. It really isn't that far fetched when you sit and think about the technology we have today and the technology that we will have in the future. Stanley Kubrick in 1968 showed the world that A.I can be fairly dangerous when given too much power. Steven Spielberg, on the other hand, shows us that giving something that is immortal and machine sentience and the need for love will leave it alone. Which is really what we all fear right? The feeling of being alone, but you see we all have something that David did not have. Something he wanted from the moment he was left by his mother. We are real humans. We have emotions and we have loving connections. Sadly David will never have that. At least, of course, that's what Joe and many seemed to believe. The end like I said with the aliens who live in a time where there are no shreds of humanity left. They give David what he always wanted. Love from his mother, and to be a real boy. Though he will never wake up he will be happy forever. Isn't that beautiful. AI is an overlooked masterpiece that I implore you to seek out. You won't regret it.Last edited by m019f4; 04-30-2020 at 12:28 AM. Reason: Addition of more information

In you are looking for something to do whilst quarantining/SIPing, you could always undertake the task of watching all the Bond films in chronological order...

When I was a kid I used to rent the Bond movies in sequential order because each one started with a preview for the next one. Geeked out pretty hard on it.
However, Casino Royale is my favorite.
Should probably go back and rewatch all the classics though.Last edited by Name Redacted; 08-16-2020 at 08:10 AM.

Anybody else noticing that 99% of the folks listing Casino Royale as the Best Bond joined the forums in 2020 and have less than 20 posts to their credit?

I love films with Pierce Brosnan and Timothy Dalton. It's difficult to name the best one, for me it depends on the mood. In fact, each film is good in itself. Of course, old films don't have such vivid special effects as new ones, but they are stylish and fun in their simplicity of special effects.
