luckily it was a cheap rod. Confirms my theory that it doesn't make sense to fish nice rods, they just get fucked up. I picked up a replacement Echo something or other that isn't half bad for $140 at the local fly shop and kept on fishing. Hopefully Reddington will warranty this chewed up one.

Been squeezing a lot of fish close to home this year. With COVID, no out of state trips. Need to post more stoke here after coming to enjoy everyone else's stuff.

Lexi, broke that darn S4 6wt tip again two weeks ago...off to Scott again. That rod has been a good companion the last almost 10 years?

Let's see how many of these I posted twice...haha

well i dont row competitively or professionally anymore and id never tell you the hogs the easiest boat to row nor that stealthcraft doesnt makes great boats
    but
yes the 19 seasons i have on the hog would compete quite well in the take a lickin and keep on keepin on downstream division
im pretty sure it wins the miles on the water division here and most other forums too
a rotomolded hdpe unsinkable hog island driftboat may not be the boat for you
but i gotta give john st john and that boat its dues
thats a LOT of float and be happy miles and smiles to try and compete with

    please have fun trying though
nice tent swimmy i picked one up for the road trip and pretty stoked on it

Always love to see Hogs out there. Johnny was my daughter's coach for winter sports club and gave me some work helping put the finishing touches on those boats while I was between gigs. Bomber units.

That’s a pretty bold statement, my 25 year old Hyde might give you a run for your money. We are at 86 days on the water and counting this summer alone.

Be prepared for long lead times. Things are pretty backed up at Redington repairs due to the Covid; I've been waiting about 2 months for just a couple of new tip sections.

Props to Orvis UK, i broke a hydros in mid April and had a brand new recon in three weeks. Miss my hydros though, it seemed to catch more fish 😏

Yep! August of 2010. Man, that was a great trip. The local mags really came together for that one and I much appreciated the float. Some great bows in that canyon!
