Small water is what’s reasonably close to me, esp w/ the current fires

carp are assholes, wind is annoying.

probably 30 shots, 2 eats, one popped fly knot and one hooked rock as he went to vacum it up.

Walked an old classic today. Bout 5 miles. Didn’t fish. Water temps slightly warmer than they should be for the fish. As usual I don’t think about taking pics until I walked out of the cool canyon. Nice mtns around here anyway.

Got some of the bugs worked out in the new rig and enjoyed the scenery along the way.

Fished down there last weekend. Saw a few dead whitefish on the banks and reported to FWP. Sounds like there are a lot more up in the Valley.

    Fishing was slow.

I should add though that it is good bird watching though as lots of eagles were feeding on the fish.

Cool. That's about what I heard. The fishing is a bit slower down where we're heading but it makes up for it in lack of people and good camping.

Just try to camp away from the tracks unless you want to be woken up all night long. I do like floating in that area, much less crowded.

It's not trout, but pickerel, bass and pike fishing can be fun.

Not very many picture-worthy fish this year, but this one definitely is.
