    2020 FISH SQUEEZING EXTRAVAGANZA!!

Wasn’t sure what I’d find on the islands south of C ape Cod this past weekend but schooly stripers were very much around. Got some action at a a handful of inshore spots and it didn’t take a big effort.

all on topwater spook plugs. I was pretty excited to round out the season like this, the bite is totally dead 80 miles north where I am usually fishing.

    2020 FISH SQUEEZING EXTRAVAGANZA!!

Anything that can be done about this? Other than quitting winter fishing which crossed my mind more than a few times today

these guys were pretty lethargic today. I figured there would be snow but I didn't expect the river to be mostly iced up too. Probably my last trip out to this spot for 2020.

Probably the last session of the year for me. Feet were cold, guides icy, but fish were still eating

    GODDAMN IT

Came back to small town northern Wisconsin to check on my Mom. River X starts at a dam 2 city blocks from her house. It has Muskies, and joins River XX which is also full of Muskies. The DNR published that no Muskies were in either river. Everyone here knew to keep it on the down-low and point the tourists to the nearby lakes. Next door neighbor is a Musky guide on the lakes, he brought home a 54 incher from River XX and showed my Mom. She said “Danny, you should be in the paper !” He responded “ Are you kidding Harry’s Mom ? I don’t want anyone knowing about River XX.”

Last year a big Simms billboard showed up on the road into town. I knew the end was near.

This weeks paper had a front page photo of 3 non-local fucks in a drift boat right at the junction of Rivers X and XX, fly fishing for Musky. The caption even listed the names of the two rivers !

    FUCK.

I knew a guy who used to work at Simms in Bozeman. He left to move back to Wisconsin and fish for musky. Hotspotting is right up his alley and wouldnt really be surprised if he was in that boat....

Ya know, I wasn't sure about including that pick because some of you guys are, well, fucking weirdos...
But she is a good kid, it was funny, and shit, when a Princess wants to fish, she's gonna fish and she's gonna do it wearing pink waders, her sash, and tiara!
-and yes, Talisman, they are by Caddis and also come in baby blue just for you, ooh.

A Princess can also take a nap anywhere she damn well pleases!

Bugle upgrade. More liquid to deal with nuttiness.

Good riddance 2020. 2021 may see swimmy with a Sprinter. Watch out.

Found this cleaning out my grampa’s old rat-infested cabin so SFB has a place to stay while chasing muskys. Gramps was #HUGE before huge was a thing.
