I would think you'd want it on you unless you go big- and I don't think big works unless you're on a bigger boat than a yak. I bought a plastic tub about waist wide. Drill a bunch of pairs of holes in the bottom. Pull some zip ties through. Add a strap (I use a bungee).

    Looks like this one:

Every time I hear Esox I have traumatic flashbacks to too many nights in the bar of the same name in Burlington.

Don't know when the last time you were there was, but Esox is one of the few OG bars that's still holding out on that block.

Great to hear, drove by last year on my annual trip home to visit family, nodded my head in acknowledgement but wouldn't get close to the front door, the pull is too strong.

I fish surf sometimes, so I have holes in the bottom of my basket so it drains instead of filling and killing me. Bungie could work to quickly flip it, but I like a set point like a belt, and not a stretchy attachment. YMMV

Just need to keep the car at a speed high enough where tucking and rolling seems less inviting.

lonesome lake in the wind rivers delivered the goods over the 4th of july - tons of beautiful cuts, all landed on a tenkara/dryfly combo. most in the 10-12 inch range.

Heh. Nice to see you guys this morning, thanks for stopping by.

Pops landed a chunky largemouth this morning. I always catch more fish, but he has a knack for fooling the big ones. Eighty-eight years old and he's living by himself at the cabin this summer to avoid covid. Tough dude.
