I’m fucked. What’s atomics warranty policy?

Yer fuqt, go to the store buy new (or new to you) skis, remount with current bindings, get back to skiing, problem solved.

It's the chance you take buying used skis.

You can't expect a store to help you or to get a warranty replacement.

    probably this ^^

and sure its the same damn ski but they are in the bidness of selling skis, you did not buy the ski from them, you don't have a bill you are not their valued customer SO what do they owe you ?

I hear this all the time about gear, Shimano deraillers dont break/ Sram do (I landed on a big fuckign rock ) / this ski will break ( i landed on a big fucking rock) that one won't cuz it never broke for me or vis-vera on the names and its always anecdotal evidence using a sample size of ONE but nobody ever fucks something up by hitting it in exactly the same way SO the anecdotes are all bulshit

its possible prove reliability with controled materials testing using hydralic ram with a guage, but it would entail breaking a lot of shit, probably an engineer somewhere has done it but they ain't gona tell the public

It might not be "the same ski". It very well could be blems or other factory 2nd stock.
Go that way really REALLY fast. If something gets in your way, TURN!

i take back all my words about warranty, you bought from ebay. No idea if those skis were compromised prior to your purchase. Were they seconds? Blems? Too many questions.

you're in luck though cause you're in Utah. Hit KSL.com and 2nd tracks and you can probably find an even better ski for less than the repair will cost ya.

Seriously, this can’t turn into yet another ON3P thread....

Same with mountain bikes, JRA = Just Riding Along

Agree on the used gear sentiment, when you buy used or second hand (or really from any non-authorized dealer) you are taking a chance. Every once in a while your number comes up and you have to suck it up and replace the gear.

The idea is over time you come out ahead, but if you are really rough and break a lot of gear ...then good shops can really help you out if you buy new from them.

In this case, I agree with ACH - time to just buy new skis and move on.

Since you are in Utah, pop into the 33rd Level nine (formerly second tracks). They have solid techs that can give you a professional opinion and then you can also look at consignment gear if you need to replace your skis.

The key is to use Brazilian bikini wax, not ski wax. You want something that sticks, not something that slides. And if you have extra bikini wax post pics after you're done using it.

Rent skis for the rest of your trip, and fix the damaged ski when you get back. Or, just buy new skis then.
