Don't let em get you down Jake, I have a pair of Sin 7s in my ski quiver and I love riding em cause they're fun as shit. Not sure why the Soul 7s get so much hate anyhow, 108 underfoot, rocker/camber/rocker, sandwich sidewalls, honeycomb tips/tails.... you'd think they'd get more love. Ooooh wait they don't have 4 layers of metal and a 35m radius so they're sally skis.
