+2. Love the stoke. Much needed around here in summer. Hope that you enjoyed the scenery as much as your limber GF.

My last season on the MF was 2001 and was epic for the fires and low water. Boundary Creek area always looked like a tinderbox. In the days after 9/11 I hiked that entire area taking down fire advisory signs caused it had snowed up high. Still remember how eerie it was with no aircraft traffic overhead.
I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

Pretty sure Boundary Creek is closed to public traffic. They were doing pilot car escorts but seems like access is completely nixed now. I wonder if the ramp is still alive.

If I put in and get a permit are there more experienced mags that would help make this happen?
Did the middle fork once when I was 17 and I've thought about going back there damn well near every day since.

Buddy of mine led a NPS trip on the Tat a bunch of years ago. IIRC: Bring good rain gear, Gore-tex won't cut it. Be prepared to see bears. The channels change every year or more often.

I'm somewhere between these two on trip count, two rafts and can outfit group gear for a full trip. Will travel.

the first 40 miles on that 89 mile trip arent permited and most of it is road accessed
