Meeting of the Mags, Órale. Taos Ski Valley, NM. January 24-26th 2020

A meeting of internet comrades including (but not limited to) bumps, chutes, piste, Al’s Run, Kachina Peak (maybe), rocks, base repair, Hotel St. Bernard, posi vibes, and most importantly New Mexico sunshine.

Welcoming all Mags to this event. It’d be cool to have a big contingency from the greater SW, and sure, even Colorado.

We have pro pricing at Hotel Luna Mystica, a vintage trailer hotel next to the brewery. About 35 minutes to Taos Ski Valley parking lot. If that sparks interest let me know ASAP and we can get it dialed. Many options also available in TSV. Hotel St. Bernard is a great pick. Blake Hotel also good option and you can sneak us locals into the pool.

Nothing planned as far as certain events. Ski when everyone can Friday - Sunday and see how it all shakes out.

Shoutout to TAFKALVS for stoking up some Summits.

I ought to be back from my West Coast travels by that time. I ought to have my new set of ON3P skis by then, too. Count me in.

Be careful, a summit will cause 4-5" of rain to fall on the weekend of your event...

    Awesome!
It's cool to see summits being a thing again (seeing as how I missed the first round).

I also have a Kachina season pass, allowing me the purchase of three, half-off, butt-buddy passes.

If you’re gonna spend that kind of money on a trailer, book a room at Hotel La Fonda on the plaza. Cheaper and nicer accommodations. Plus they have the Forbidden Art Collection of DH Lawrence, including Rape of the Sabine Women

Hill is shaping up nice. Most everything open. Kachina is hike to (hopefully stays that way) a mag stroll to the Peak would be badass.

Hopefully more snow in the mean time.

I spoke with the Taos season pass orifice earlier today and learned that I can hook up six 50% off buddy passes this season. I think that comes out to about $50 / ticket. I have to be there at time of purchase with my pass. Don't know if this is limited to day passes only or if I can do a 2 or 3-day pass at half-off.
