This is not far off. My best snow days were spent in Horseshoe Bowl and Highlands 35 years ago with a couple more at Taos Highland and West Basin ridges 20 years ago. Never made it up Kachina, had a friend who wasn't up for that as a buddy who took me to Taos. He'd lived in Albuquerque 10 years and never skied the ridge until I talked him in to trying it. He made it just fine. Snow was really good that day.. probably about 24 inches overnight.

Can still hit a few bumps and handle steeps just fine. Deep snow is a crap shoot, only every few years I get lucky and don't stop to take selfies when I do. I ski alone when conditions are challenging. Kids didn't grow up living near the ski hill, competing in USSA Freestyle, and working as an instructor like I got to. So, ya, I peaked at about age 20. Would have been here slinging shit and razzing others back and forth if forums and Internets existed then.

Well sure it does because the photographer is shooting straight up fall line, the end result is that it flattens the aspect so it's hard to judge actual pitch.
