Or, maybe, I don't know, whittling.
See note above about wanting to give my cack a break.

But each action is not an investment in the next which is the whole point here. Maybe build an online association or network of similarly skilled pros that could be anonymously assigned to patient advocacy cases (thinking out loud). No charge. What kind of IT expertise is needed to build the online piece?
Um yeah man, if you did that, you would be a fabulous human. You probably know already that navigating healthcare is a huge headache for lay people. Getting any help with that would be a godsend, especially for something like cancer where the prognosis can be grim.

Sounds like you would need a website and maybe some kind of "ticket" tool to track engagements: have new requests been responded to, are they ongoing or complete, etc. The website is easy and something you could likely DIY. Not sure about the "ticket" thing though.

There may also be some liability issues that you might want to look into. Sucks, but welcome to America in 2019. Seems you could get some pro bono advice on that...any lawyers out there who could chime in?

Take up kickboxing. That way you'll get in better shape and you'll be too sore and tired to play with your cack.

Doesn't it always boil down to needing a lawyer and an IT person? Seriously considering this.

^Haha... thinking about buying a drum set.

Look into some courses at a nearby vocational or adult-ed school.

I've learned charter boat navigation, web site design, electrical wiring, Italian, etc. Lots of great opportunities around where I am, and I'm sure same in NJ.

Do you backpack? 3 years ago we started dehydrating meals, snack, deserts, jerky, drink mixes. Takes up a bunch of time, you get to eat good food. I love how our whole family can get in on it. Always banana chips in the cupboard and MRE in the freezer. So nice to grab something and the backpacking stove and have the weekends meal all ready for wherever you go.

what about learning a foreign language? Any options for that? Online always an option but I think the learning curve is much steeper with some interaction.
