I have a pair of new in plastic DW 184 I’d consider swapping straight up.

I don't think that'll work for me, but thanks for the idea and GLWS.

what might you be looking for by way of a trade?
also, can you offer some comparisons to the Wren?

I don't think I'm up for a trade. Those DW's were tempting but I think the only variant of that I'd want is the new 190.

I haven't been on a wren for a few years, but from memory, these are a little more easy-going, a little easier to get to come alive at lower speed. A little more tolerant of a more upright stance.

I said this in the on3p thread - I would characterize these as 70% wren 30% Kartel/Jeff, on that spectrum. As a layperson...not speaking for Iggy et al.

Ha! I don't think so, but if we're both saying it, it MUST be true!

Those are the Optics to my eye at least

I think we are glimpsing into the future of custom builds....

and/or glimpsing into the future of someone's best days ever on snow when they buy these and get after it?

How does everyone think these might be similar/different to a Governor? I have and love that ski amd am looking for something a little narrower and more foregiving?

Looser, easier, less pow-specific...more tail rocker (not a lot but more). Both are not noodles. Both are not jibby, at all, but I think these are a bit more progressive mount than the Govs.

These are probably inferior to the Gov's if you're maching through chunky 3D and trying to stay on top of it, but superior for everything else. It's an all-around ski not a pow ski...

Because I'm disobeying the pricing rules...If I use the 50%+10-15% for desirability they'd be gone instantly, but they're worth more so I'm holding out.

Take them back out, press your boots into the fall line, the more you haul ass the more they will love you back, and you will come to terms with each other.

The Wrens scream but shut down speed on a dime. Guessing woodsman will accelerate slightly more slowly and shut it down slightly more quickly. Slash and dash your way through the holidays.

You may live to regret this sale otherwise.

yes, I got that when I was on them.

The way my quiver's set up now, I'll be on this ski for all my days skiing with the kids, which is ~50% of my time these days. The K's/Jeffs are a little more fun for those days/times, when hauling ass isn't an option.

    Regret is my co-pilot.

Makes sense. Not a great ski-w-kids rig. My choice also mandates a top sheet I do not care about. Just don’t want to see you part w these beauties for a song.

    Right - that won't happen!

Have passed on lots of songs via pm since I posted this...

My kids are 8 and 11 so the topsheet shredding years have passed, luckily.
