Montec ski wear ?????
Anyone heard of montec ski wear? They claim 25 K waterproof and my Facebook feed is blowing up with them for some reason. Never heard of them and their reviews all look fake like it’s some scam brand from china and if you order it your gonna get a jacket that is made for a squirrel. Can’t find much independent reviews either. Just wondering if anyone has had any exposure to them?

Is that a dual front zipper?
Seems like with the right technique you could party boy that shit.

My wife ended up buying a coat and pants from them on their black friday sale. Fit was spot on as per their recommendation.
They do seem to be pushing the social media marketing pretty hard.
They are affiliated with an Euro shop named Ridestore, so it's not some fly by night company.
Quality seems good but I can't comment on the breathability or waterproofing ratings (I would guess they are optimistic). There is a lining inside the coat and sleeves so it's not like a conventional Goretex/Event garment.
They advertise having a "strong snow skirt", which should please some people here.Last edited by The Tortoise; 12-16-2019 at 01:51 PM.

I saw a guy in a urban-camo suit at LL in November. Looked kinda cheesy, but the worst part was his Ruroc helmet-goggle thing.

I had a couple of ruroc bro’s crash into me at MSS and scratch the top sheet of a board I really liked. I usually don’t sweat nicks and scratches on gear, but this was so unnecessary. I was kinda stunned that I actually got taken out by a couple of ruroc bro’s

Saw these on social media today and was curious. It reminds me of Virtika/First Drop with their 25k/25k waterproof/breathability and for only $250 brand new. Hopefully there's not some doucher behind this brand too.

One of my kids got the anorak and pants last year. Its ok stuff but there is a reason it is so cheap. The pants better than the jacket. The hood didn't fit over the helmet, although supposedly for skiing. He has moved on to new gear for this year.
