F-250 7.3 L Powerstroke Extended cab adventure rig. Rebuilt engine

Thought I'd give this a shot before ebay. This will probably only appeal to those who are familiar with this engine. Thanks!

1999 Ford F250 Extended cab Long bed 4x4 7.3L powerstroke for sale.

Truck was purchased in Idaho in the fall of 2017, and driven back to Vermont towards the end of last year, western truck for the entire life of the vehicle: no rot. Minor superficial surface rust and scratches consistent with normal use, truck has always been stock and never seen salt. Truck comes with an ARE color matched cap/topper with door as well as the original tailgate and a front brush guard, and was undercoated with lanolin to protect against the VT humidity.
248,698 miles on odometer, 500 miles on engine. Heat blows hot, ac blows cold. Truck drives and runs perfectly, ready for another 250k.

Bought a 7.3 a few years ago at 220k miles. Now at 260k and haven’t had a single thing on the truck go wrong besides the water pump seal which is one of the very few common problems, but also is a very easy fix. Also are absolute beasts in snow. Can’t beat it.

My Ikon pass and I will happily deliver this fine rig to anyone out West for the cost of fuel and a plane ticket home to New England.

Drove my 7.3L yesterday after not running it for a couple weeks. Even after all these years, I'll be damned if that engine doesn't stir my loins when I give it the juice. Someone's gonna have a very merry Christmas when they buy this rig!
Brandine: Now Cletus, if I catch you with pig lipstick on your collar one more time you ain't gonna be allowed to sleep in the barn no more!
    Cletus: Duly noted.

Haha I think with the 2 kids the price might actually go up not down... 2020 bump.

Possibly will entertain trades for a newer smaller truck, Audi avant etc.

I'm sort of interested... been looking for a replacement camper hauling pickup truck, and was planning something a lot newer, but these 7.3 diesels are legendary. So... some questions.

What's the interior like? And is the exterior color green, blue, or?

I see camper tiedown points on the rear bumper. Are there mounts at the front of the bed too?

Anything been done to the interior of the bed? e.g. spray liner, plastic drop in, 5th wheel mount, etc.

Sort of interested too, except for the auto trans. I'd be all over it if it was a manual

This looks like a steal. I bought an OBS Powerstroke in 2010, put a camper on the back, lived in mountain towns for 3 years and put 60k miles on the truck. The only real problem I ever had was hard starting in the winter, and I eventually figured out the fuel bowl heater was broken. After I moved back to the city I sold it back to the previous owner for almost as much as you're asking. Someone buy this.
that's all i can think of, but i'm sure there's something else...

This is a deal. I have much more than this into this truck. Located in central vermont- bristol area. This is a legendary 7.3 rebuilt by a mechanic who has rebuilt tons of them-
interior is in good shape, really clean. I had intended on swapping in new seats (king ranch or lariat) if you buy this please do that

Exterior is dark green. I have the tie down bar for the front that I took off it. It also has 5th wheel mounts drilled from the previous owner- prior to me replacing both the shocks and the leaf springs.

I built out a plywood platform in the bed for camping/ gear. 8’ drawer on skateboard bearings that pulls out under the platform.

As far as the cold start issue, I drove this truck to Alberta hauling a 3,000+ lb slide in camper and it started every time at -26F running 0wt oil... before I rebuilt the engine.

I intended on keeping this truck for many years to come, and that’s how I maintained it. I’d like it to go to a similarly minded person
