Unfortunately it likes they've caught on and are now excluding the First Ascent items from their sales. So the "everything 50% off" excludes most of the stuff I would consider purchasing.

I've had their Peak parka and one of the Karakorum down sleeping bags and have been very happy with both - but risking buying a winter bag from them was much more palatable when I was risking $400 rather than $700.

Is that with a promo code? The bag I was looking at only seems to be marked down from $700 to $600.

I don’t think so. It’s says that on their home page.

Some of that new stuff has quite the price tag IIRC. I’m old, so I can pass without feeling out of touch.
Switching gears, I am really digging their insulated guide pants.

Based on my love for the regular guide pro pants, those look awesome.

I pretty much live in the guide shorts for 6 months of the year.

Has anyone used and recommend the High Route Grid Fleece? Or the Grid Air? I assume these are knockoffs of the Patty R1 and R1 Air?

Everything’s 50% now so this is the time to get EB. Otherwise it’s overpriced.

I think i have the haute route fleece. It sucks compared to the R1. Hood is a loose sloppy mess. I mean for the price point it's fine, but i'd take r1 over it all day.

i have a Grid Air crew and really like it. Was looking to get another during this sale, but only have the same color I’ve already got in my size.

Do you use it for a base layer skiing or winter running top or…..?

I have the high route half zip hoodie. I like it, though the fit makes it more of a casual piece for me. Warm, stretchy and seems to wick well. Not as form fitting as I like for my active layering pieces. Picked up when had 60% off clearance. Definitely not an R1 competitor.

a bit of everything. Comfortable to wear against skin, but fine over a tee or baselayer as well. Just a nice all around lighter insulating layer
