Go on skimo.co and buy used dynafit radical toes for $55 each, and then buy either kreuzspitze sctt heels, or plum race 150 heels, with the kreuzspitze 20?mm adjustment heel plate. It mounts to the dynafit speed radical pattern, weighs like 170-200grams total, and will run you like $300.

I run that setup and ski them with confidence. I don’t Huck cliffs but I’ve never even popped out of them.

I am only guessing that this is a suggested alternative to the MTN not the Shift? It sounds like a reasonably good little hack. But I have been in the process of switching over a quiver of tech bindings from Verticals to MTNs over the past couple years. I really like the MTN and prefer running one binding across my touring quiver for redundancy should something break.
