Quick hot tub question

Hope somebody’s awake that can answer a quick question. My daughter and I were in the hot tub (bull frog). It lost all power and popped the GFCI. I can’t get it to reset. Guess something’s wet. But it’s Saturday night at almost midnight. Not sure i can get it dried out. Will call the repair man tomorrow. But tonight it’s supposed to get down to 0 degree F. Am I going to be ok to cover everything up until morning or do I need to try and do something tonight? Thanks

Cover her up — try in the AM. Usually will reset.

Make the best of a bad situation.

Covered it up and found an old reading light with a 60 watt bulb that I turned on and put inside the front cover underneath the tub. Hopefully that keeps things from freezing underneath. If not I’ll be doing the above.

GFI breakers get weak over time. How old is it?


I had to replace mine about 2 years ago.

Fairly new install. Maybe only 4 months. I was able to reset it this morning. We
must have gotten some water somewhere it shouldn’t be??? You would think a hot tub would be sealed up pretty tight. Surprised how warm it stayed. Water was still at 98 degrees. Had some good help checking it out this morning.

Set up a good fan or blower to dry the inside of the cabinet and electronics well.

Give it a try after a good drying out of everything.
