Damn Klauss, looks like you got it yesterday!
This morning was a gooder. Wish I could say I always time it this well.
Rolled in to hrm at 930, two totally untracked laps in fright trees. High quality wind-sifted pow. Lots of of sluff in the chutes, so fun.
Back up HRM, Star rope dropped a few chairs before offloading. Up star, ski over to 1/2 moon and wouldn’t ya know the troller just dropped the rope. Short conditions update from her and I’m with 5 other folks through the gate. Traverse right into the trees, untracked all the way down.
Riding Up heather, star stopped for some mechanical reason and lines building up. Sorry suckers...
Head for Ho Chi Minh - more untracked. So good, did it 2x.
Up heather, then Swung through gods wall gate for the first time this year. Skiers left chute doesn’t go unless you like billy goating over rocks and shrubbery. Skiers right chute looked tasty, only two tracks over there. traversed around and yup... it was deep. Quite a satisfying 2 hours.

Damn. I saw the helicopter flying around this afternoon and it felt ominous given the recent fatalities.

I have yet to see a Pine Marten in Oregon, but plenty of grey squirrels. Still, I'm glad Bachelor didn't name Pine Marten chair, the Grey Squirrel chair...

A bit off topic but anyone got recommendations for a good ski boot/fitting shop here in PDX? Relatively new to the sport and looking to invest in some quality footwear. Any advice is appreciated.

That pic was taken on an evening tour after skiing the resort. Didn't ski gnarl that day.
I last skied the ridge about a week ago. Through the small bowl approximately midway between lamberson and elk meadow. Coverage was good. Snow was sun affected. The snow on track up from the lower newton crossing was thin and the existing track was put in by someone who didn't know the summer trail or had something to prove. Don't know how the recent storm affected it.

Bob is definitely the guy to see. If you don't want to travel to parkdale, i had good results at the mountain shop. I hear evo is decent for boot fitting.

I came across one running between red chair and outback. I was going pretty fast and it hauled ass with me a bit across the snow. Surprisingly big animal

she/he is a Beauty!! Ideal color/coat imo
Current Canine companion is a 55# Yellow/Golden mix at 15 months(same coloring as above, often mistaken for pure Lab)
Previous: AKC Yellow American Style about 75# - Miss that one alot (she too had the darker, almost Red Coat)
Great repose above btw
