Seems reasonable under the circumstances. I guess the only question is whether they limit capacity through a reservation system so much that it's functionally impossible to get out.

If anybody has friends or family that are affected and need a place to stay, we have a spare bedroom (or can offer up our garage + air mattresses to be covid compliant). Fenced in yard for dogs. Sounds like Shilo Inn in The Dalles is also providing shelter.

I live in Mosier and the Level 3 evac zone for this fire literally ended like 50 yards from my house (junction of State and Mosier Creek roads). Was like a war zone for a couple of days there with tankers and helicopters flying super low over my house. Crazy.

I believe I am going to invest in an AT setup. I have been on the fence for a long time. I now have a contact who has been doing a bunch over the years in this new area I am in, he is very conservative in his approach, I need the exercise, I will live 25 minutes from the pass come springtime, and do not think covid's going to be kind for lift-served on epic days for me.
